This. Maybe it’s like people who put hideous table cloths on solid mahogany or walnut dining room tables.

Gotta protect that investment - even if it means not enjoying it as much.

Lots of Porsche people unfortunately view their cars more as investments than toys. I say unfortunately because it makes it hard for me to find one second hand!
